Maybe, you would prefer to take your trailer to one of the 173 campsites? Here, you can enjoy 107 standard campsites with water and electric, 66 full hookup sites with water, electric and sewer. Trust us, you will be a Happy Camper!!
Amazing Nature Viewing
We were amazed by the beautiful nature! If you are a nature lover and/or photographer, you will quickly fall in love with Huntington Beach State Park. Here, the park’s freshwater lake is a great place for viewing. You will see alligators and if you’re lucky a mink or two. You will also enjoy the 300+ bird species. Simply amazing!!
The park also offers a variety of programming. You will have an opportunity to view loggerhead turtles, endangered plants and other animal species. The parks beauty and exploration seems to be endless!! You will be amazed!
Looking for a great place for a picnic? Here, you will also find 3 picnic shelters available for group gatherings. You can also enjoy burning off your meal with some trail hiking. The park offers nearby hiking nature trails. A great place for you to get up and close with nature!
Visit Picturesque Atalaya Castle
South Carolina castle landmarks anyone? Here, you can visit Atalaya for a small fee. This picturesque and Moorish-style residence was the home of Archer and Anna Hyatt Huntington. A philanthropist and sculptor respectively, they left the park and adjacent Brookgreen Gardens as their legacy. You may even want to check it out!!
Plan A Weekend Trip To The Atalaya Arts And Crafts Festival
Huntington Beach State Park also offers a treat for Art lovers! Every September, you can flock with the thousands to the Atalaya Arts and Crafts Festival. Here, you can enjoy the weekend viewing the arts and crafts in and around the home for a small fee.
You will also want bring your appetite, as you walk through the food court. Here, you will be able to enjoy some seafood, barbecue and other culinary delights. Visitors will also enjoy live music.
