Planning A Perfect Dream Vacation

How do you go about planning a perfect dream vacation? Do you have any idea where you would like to go on your dream vacation? For everyone it will be different. There is no right or wrong answer.

Just when I think I have found that perfect dream vacation destination, I think of another place. James and I have so many places we want to go, explore and share with our readers.

Emotions and Senses

When you think of that dream vacation do you dream of the beach, the mountains, maybe a big city or a faraway country? When you close your eyes what do you think of, what feelings does a dream vacation evoke? What smells do you smell? What sounds do you hear?

Activities

On your dream vacation, what things do you imagine yourself doing? Do you see yourself at a spa getting pampered? Maybe you are relaxing on a beach listening to the waves crash on the shore? How about enjoying a meal at an outside cafe with quiet background music and a small glass of wine. Maybe, a guided nature walk with a highlight of a beautiful waterfall, that you can swim under and enjoy a picnic lunch.

Culture and Heritage

Is there a certain culture that your interested in? Maybe the French or Italian culture. Does your heritage interest you? A perfect dream vacation could include digging deeper and exploring your heritage, finding out where you come from.

I know at some point we will visit Ireland and explore where James ancestors are from. You may not be interested in finding past relatives but how about seeing and learning about your country of origin.

Place

It could be the perfect hotel that over looks all the beautiful white homes with blue rooftops in Greece. Lounging in the infinity pool as the sun sets over the Mediterranean Sea. How about a hotel that is cut out of the side of a mountain with breathtaking views? Or maybe The Treehouse Lodge in Costa Rica?

I think for most people going on a dream vacation is about changing the scenery, changing the schedule, no laundry, no cooking or dishes. But most of all is getting rid of their stress. If we could only be stress free!! That would make it the perfect dream vacation.
