The state park also features a variety of captive animals. Here, you can view wild alligators, black bears, red wolf, key deer, flamingoes, whooping cranes and the oldest hippopotamus in captivity. The native wildlife that resides in the park serve as a wonderful visitors face-to-face connections between the diverse Florida habitats and the animals.

Nancy and I were amazed at the beauty of the Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park. We slowly strolled along the walking path and simply enjoyed viewing the beautiful animals. Do not forget your camera for the multiple photo opportunities of these beautiful Florida animals. Our time at the park was truly time well spent!

The park is also one of the best places in the state to view manatees. All visitors can get up and close for amazing viewing on a floating observatory.
