How To Make A Bucket List

Are you interested in learning how to make a bucket list? “I haven’t been everywhere, but it’s on my list.” -Susan Sontag

What’s a Bucket List?

Have you ever heard of creating a “bucket list?” It’s a list of the goals you want to achieve, dreams you want to fulfill and life experiences you want to experience while you are still living.

What Dreams Do You Have?

The definition of bucket list from Webster dictionary is: “A list of things that one has not done before but wants to do before dying.” This definition was added in 2006. It seems like it’s been around a lot longer than that but that’s when it was recognized.

An Amazing Cruise?

Do you have a bucket list? Or just a short list of places you’d love to go? Maybe you call them goals and not a bucket list? Every time I cross one off I think and add two more to the list, lol. There are many places to see and experience!

Maybe Simply Spending Some Quiet Time Alone?

Why Create a Bucket List?

For me, the list is about creating goals. If I don’t set goals, I can’t reach them!!! So set goals! They can be big goals and small goals. But don’t stop having things to look forward to. If you don’t have something to look forward to life becomes a drudgery. Just day after day of the same old things, without a light at the end of the tunnel.

Some Days It’s Hard Finding The Light At The End Of The Tunnel!!

How to Create a Bucket List?

Your list can be as elaborate or as simple as you choose. For me it is a list of things I want to see, places I want to go and things I want to experience. Here is a list of things to think about as you create your bucket list.

Are The Mountains On Your Bucket List?

Thoughts to Help You Make That Bucket List!

  1. What would you do if time, money and resources were not limiting you?
  2. What have you always wanted to do but have not done yet?
  3. Are there any countries, places or locations you want to visit?
  4. What are your biggest goals and dreams?
  5. What do you want to see in person?
  6. Any special moments you want to witness?
  7. What activities or skills do you want to learn or try out?
  8. What are the most important things you can ever do?
  9. Any specific individuals (celebrities, famous people and world leaders) you want to meet in person?
  10. What do you want to achieve in the different areas of your life: Social, Love, Family, Career, Finance, Health (your weight and/or fitness level) and/or Spiritual?
  11. What do you need to do to live a life of greatest meaning, as defined by you?

I really enjoyed that movie. It made me take a minute to stop and think. I don’t really have a bucket list written down, but I have a lot of things in my mind that I want to do before I die. I should probably write them down so I don’t forget. 😉
