Go To SAFETOURS Cozumel!
SAFETOURS COZUMEL was a fantastically fun adventure! We had so much fun with this crew. Our tour was called a “Full Day Of Fun” and fun it was.
MEETING WITH OUR TOUR OPERATOR
As we disembarked our ship at International Pier we walked down to the shops. As you exit to the street we turned left and met our tour operator Arturo at the El Cid Resort. The El Cid Resort was so very pretty.
There was a small beach with over the water hammocks, massage stations for that relaxing message, pool and spa. There is also snorkeling from the hotel pier. We sat in the hotels outside restaurant and bar. When all of the guests had arrived, we were ready to board the glass bottom boat.
GLASS BOTTOM BOAT
James and I chose the glass bottom boat because we were traveling with family. Some of the family were not going to be snorkeling but the glass bottom boat allowed them to still be apart of a family excursion. They were able to see the fish under the boat.
Our extended family even saw a turtle swim by. It was so fun to come back on the boat after our first snorkeling spot and have them say excitedly, “We saw a turtle!!!” So, Safetours is great for multi-generational families, empty nesters like us or even a young couple. It is fun for all!!!
SNORKELING SPOTS
James and I had great snorkeling tour guides. They were great at keeping us together and safe. We did see many fish with so many colors. James and I also had some snorkeling photography done of us as well.
It was a great touch having pictures together while snorkeling. There were refreshments offered for those that wanted to partake. The assorted drinks were beer, soda and water. This held us over until lunch.
LUNCH AT CASA MISSION
After leaving the glass bottom boat, we were led to the front of El Cid Resort and were escorted to a van for our afternoon adventure. The van tour was for our family of four and it was personalized for what we wanted to see. First we stopped for lunch to refuel.
The Casa Mission was a traditional Mexican Restaurant. With all the traditional Mexican colors and decor. For our nibbling pleasure they first brought over some tasty nachos and Guacamole, as well as some pico. I imbibed with a red sangria, Yum, Yum.
Now that I’m nice and relaxed and unwinding from all of our snorkeling, we are served our entrees. We loved the atmosphere of the restaurant but the food was only average. We would try there other restaurant option next time.
PERSONAL LAND TOUR
Our driver was very knowledgeable, as we toured the Main Street area and the beach resort areas. We even visited a beach called Playa Palancar. It was a little crowded but a nice place to take a quick dip.
Here they also served food and beverages. It had a nice island vibe to it with the music playing and the palm trees swaying. As you see below they also had a resident peacock.
RETURN TO PORT
Well it’s time to say our goodbyes to lovely Cozumel . But first we have to make a stop at our favorite tequila shop before we boarded our ship and sailed off into the sunset until next time.
Cozumel is one of my favorite ports! We will definitely be back again to visit Arturo and SAFETOURS COZUMEL!! For a wonderful Cozumel Mexico experience, go to SAFETOURS COZUMEL!!
