We did have an opportunity later to check out the Visiting Center. The Visiting Center did have friendly and knowledgable staff that were readily available to answer any questions about Peggy’s Cove and the area.
We also observed a stand with several Nova Scotia attraction pamphlets. You will definitely want to stop in if you are looking for additional things to do or have any questions about the area.
We decided to try our luck parking closer to the coastline and the majestic lighthouse. There was limited parking, after circling the parking lot for about ten minutes we were able to secure a parking spot, our patience certainly did pay off!! You may have to wait for a parking spot but the wait will be well worth it!
Upon exiting your car, you will immediately observed the beautiful rocky coastline. Then you will proceeded to walk to the beautiful and majestic lighthouse, which it takes less than five minutes to reach the lighthouse.
During our short hike to the lighthouse, we could hear bagpipes playing. As we got closer to the lighthouse, we observed a bagpiper playing a song, The visitors were excitedly and happily enjoying the beauty of the majestic lighthouse along the rocky coastline.
I must admit observing and hearing the bagpiper play his music added a special touch to our visit. You will absolutely love this beautiful experience!!
After exploring the rocky coastline and the majestic lighthouse, we decided to explore the sights of this small fishing village. We started off by stopping by the Sou’ Wester, which is a restaurant and gift shop. A great place to purchase a bite to eat and find a Peggy’s Cove souvenirs.
We then walked down the village street and explored the many shops, while taking many photographs. The village truly has a relaxed atmosphere offering artistic shops, a pewter shop, a lobster food truck, a coffee and snack gift shop, and so much more!
