Recently, Nancy and I took a road trip to discover Cocoa Beach Florida. Cocoa Beach is a well known city in Florida USA, located on the Florida Space Coast. You will find this beach is family friendly and has the perfect combination of sun, sea and space.

So where exactly can you find Cocoa Beach? “Cocoa Beach is a Florida City south of Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. It’s a gateway to the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, which has rockets and iconic artifacts. The city is known for its beach and surf breaks.” -Wikipedia

Why should you visit Cocoa Beach? Here, you will find a spacious beach and a beautiful ocean lookout to put your mind at ease. Yes, you can relax on this beautiful beach or whatever fits your fancy.

Things To Do at Cocoa Beach

You may be asking what else can I do at Cocoa Beach? There are many popular things to do. You can go kayaking, boat rentals, stand up paddle boarding, scuba diving, surfing, private sightseeing tours and more.

Maybe you like to sit back and relax on the beach, like Nancy and I do. Here, you will find an exciting view of cruise ships. On this day, two Disney Cruise ships that are anchored and one that is arriving to port. These cruise ships were right in front of us.

Boy, that brought a smile to Nancy’s face as she sat enjoying the sun and daydreaming of cruises past and future. The ships embark/disembark at Port Canaveral, which is a short distance away from Cocoa Beach. Maybe these views will put a smile on your faces like they did to ours.

Seeing the ships out in the distance made Nancy reminisce about our one Disney cruise. She couldn’t stop talking about it. It was several years ago but she couldn’t stop grinning remembering all the fun that we had.

Disney cruises aren’t just for families with young children. They have things for every age group and plenty of adult only spaces. We both cannot wait for cruising to be part of our life again.

Surfs Up!

The surf is just so enticing for the surfer enthusiasts at Cocoa Beach. It is a great place to be a beginner or expert surfer. Here you can learn to surf as well as develop your skills because the waves are easy to ride and the water temperature is comfortable year round.

As we looked around there are places to get your rentals and lessons. So, will you be taking that surf lesson next time you are at Cocoa Beach?
