Are you Looking for 8 Epic Dominica Excursions?
While cruising on the Royal Caribbean Jewel Of The Seas, Nancy and I enjoyed the beautiful island of Dominica. We were very excited to visit Dominica for the first time! What does Dominica have to offer, you may ask? Read below to find 8 epic excursions on this beautiful island.
Lovely Nature Island
Dominica is known as the “Nature Island.” We would agree! Here, we explored this beautiful island’s natural splendor. This cruise, we did the Emerald and Beach Shore Excursion. Nancy and I were thrilled we did!! The shore excursion was approximately 5 hours in length.
While taking this bus tour, we enjoyed a photo stop atop Morne Bruce. Here, we enjoyed a former British garrison boasting great views of Roseau below. After enjoying the views, we were then brought to the amazing lush Botanical Gardens. As you will see, the gardens were simply interesting and unique.
Amazing Emerald Pool
Our next stop was the Emerald Pool. Upon arriving, we then headed out for an approximate 15-minute hike through rainforest canopy. Your walk to the hidden Emerald Pool will be well worth it!
The Emerald Pool was simply beautiful. We enjoyed viewing and photographing the amazing 40-foot waterfall. Others were taking in the views from the large viewing platform. You will be amazed!
Nancy and I enjoyed watching the visitors swimming right up to the cascades and splashing around in the crystal-clear waters. Everyone had a smile on their faces, while enjoying this natural wonder! A must see if you travel to lovely Dominica!!
Beautiful Mero Beach
Our last stop was a stop at Mero Beach. This beach offered beautiful silver-gray beach sand and an amazingly warm water swim. Here, we enjoyed taking some great photography. Nancy and I loved walking the beautiful beach and swimming in the amazingly warm Caribbean waters. Mero Beach also offers you a barbecue lunch from the seaside snack bar.
