If you want a winery with a beautiful view you need to check out Gouveia Vineyards in Wallingford, CT. The winery is located on 140 acres with a 360 degree panoramic view. The winery is built with stone and old timbers.
The vineyard is such a beautiful place for a picnic lunch and a bottle of wine. They also have a fire pit outside and a fireplace inside, so winter is no problem. You can still get cozy and hang for a while.
“Joe wanted to create a place where people are brought together like family, one that is not attached just by blood, but by celebrations and gatherings. Gouveia Vineyards is a place where memories and relationships are made.”(GouveiaVineyards.com)
Gouveia Vineyards was established in 1999. It was originally a farm when the Gouveia family purchased the land. They planted the vineyard by hand and with hard work as well as determination they created their winery.
Approximately 10 years later, the Gouveia family would take on another challenge by bringing back and restoring the Wallingford, CT old vacant library.
Today, after several months of extremely tiring and demanding work the library was beautifully restored and converted into the Library Wine Bar and Bistro, where they offer fresh local ingredients and a Mediterranean Cuisine.
