Royal Seas Cruise- Grand Celebration

Royal Seas Cruise- Grand Celebration

Royal Seas Cruise- Grand Celebration

James and I were pleasantly surprised with the Royal Seas Cruise- Grand Celebration. We met the cruise ship at the Port of Palm Beach Florida. This port is an amazingly easy port to travel out of.

PORT OF PALM BEACH

West Palm Beach Florida

The ships are smaller so there are less people trying to board. When you pull up to the port you drive right up to the front door. Valet parks your car for you. Like all other ports, you will pay a daily fee to park your car at the port.

The embarkation lines were very small. James and I had three people in front of us in line when we arrived. There were several windows open to take care of our check in and it was done rather quickly. We are used to doing an online check in with other cruise lines but not with Royal Seas Cruises. Royal Seas take care of it all at the check-in window.

The time was around 11:45am when we arrived at the port and our check-in was finished around 12pm. We could board the ship immediately. This way James and I could experience the ship completely without fighting the crowds.

POOL DECK

The refreshing salt water pool

Our first stop was the pool deck. Again, James wanted to get pictures before the ship filled up. We started at the pool deck where we met Nicholas our pool bar staff. He took care of us all afternoon and night. The ship is small enough that we saw him at every venue. He kept our glasses full and always with a smile!

Bahama Mamas

TOP DECK

The top deck is for the adults. There are adult jacuzzis, corn hole boards, bar and stage for entertainment. It is a nice getaway from the younger travelers on the ship. We enjoyed a little bit of time on this deck before we needed to cool off around the pool.

BACK TO THE POOL

We Love Our Pool Time

We spent most of the afternoon at the pool. It was a beautiful day out and the pool was refreshing. James and I were able to relax and listen to some great music with a Caribbean vibe to it. There was also hamburgers and hotdogs if you wanted to enjoy lunch by the poolside instead of inside at the luncheon buffet.

As our day at the pool was coming to the end, the activities staff decided to play a game. It was a game where they gave you clues to an object and you had to figure out what the object was. I’m glad to share that we won, Yay!!

Amazing Desserts

Some of the other daytime activities were the Mr. & Mrs. Grand Celebration Contest and a Towel Animal Folding Demonstration. There were table games like ping pong and foosball. Movies were playing in the Regal Room. You can find mixology lessons, international beer tastings as well as martini tastings.

You will also find dance lessons, magic workshops, bingo and a fully appointed spa on the ship.

DINNER

A Fantastic Dinner

I was pleasantly surprised with the dinner menu and the service. We were seated at a table for two and were seated right away. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. We had escargot for an appetizer and short ribs with mashed potatoes and root vegetables for an entree. Dessert we skipped, but it looked amazing.

EVENING ENTERTAINMENT

Casino

Our evening consisted of a Tina Turner Tribute and Showtime – Circus Big Top Spectacular. There were other thing going on like the casino, scavenger quest game, karaoke and a farewell dance party.

DISEMBARKATION

Disembarkation was a breeze. It was smooth and fast. Since there are less passengers it moved right along.

This was a cruise to the Grand Bahama Island where we disembarked at Freeport and stayed on the island for 3 Days/2 Nights. We returned to the Grand Celebration for a return trip to the Port of Palm Beach.

Bahamas Flag

James and I spoke to others on the ship that stayed longer on the island and some guests were just on for the weekend. They had a 2 night cruised where they cruised to the island for the day and immediately cruised back to the Port of Palm Beach.

We were very happy and impressed with our cruise experience on the Grand Celebration, Royal Seas Cruise line. It was a fantastic small ship experience and everyone we saw had a great time!!! If you are looking for a smaller ship to enjoy a getaway, holiday or vacation, the Royal Seas Cruise – Grand Celebration would be an excellent choice!!
