Historic 1810 House Bed & Breakfast

This post is sponsored but all opinions are our own.

Recently, we had the good fortune of spending some time in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire at the historic 1810 House Bed & Breakfast. The 1810 House Bed & Breakfast gets it’s name from the year it was built. The addition in the rear of the building is were the owners reside, Heidi von Gotz Cogean and Christopher Coache. This part of the property was built in 1760 and was a dairy farm.

First of all, James and I discovered the 1810 House Bed & Breakfast when we were doing a wine tasting trip around Lake Winnipesaukee. The Winnipesaukee Winery is located on the same property and in the Antiques Barn across the driveway. Here, the wine was great so we scheduled a time to come back and enjoy the day! Above all, you too will definitely want to schedule some time to enjoy some Winnipesaukee Winery tastings as well!

Beautiful 1810 House

You will find the 1810 House Bed & Breakfast has three rooms that are unique to themselves. Here, you will find the Crescent Lake Room, Lake Wentworth Room and the Lake Winnipesaukee Room. The rooms are gorgeous.

Furthermore, you will also find the rooms have all been named after lakes in the region. All of the rooms have a private shower and Jacuzzi tub, flat screen cable TV, free WiFi, iron and board, hairdryer and bath toiletries. Most noteworthy, the bed and breakfast is a non smoking establishment and no pets are allowed. So make sure you plan accordingly!

Certainly, as you enter the Bed & Breakfast, you will immediately feel a warm and welcoming feeling. We were immediately greeted by Heidi, the property owner. Heidi brought us for a personal and extensive tour around the 1810 House.

A Relaxing and Comfortable Stay

Likewise, you will find that each room in the 1810 House are very unique. Heidi brought us into the living room area, where there is a beautiful English fireplace. The living room is a very spacious and comfortable sitting space with several area activity brochures.

Behind the living room space was a lovely small nook space for reading, playing board games and just enjoying the quiet or company of friends. Here, there are also several books of different subject titles available for your reading pleasure. Furthermore, you will love this lovely reading nook!

Most certainly, Heidi has extensively researched and learned about about the Wolfeboro and 1810 House history. We did spend some time conversing with her about the history. Above all, if you love history, you will absolutely love conversing with Heidi about the Wolfeboro and 1810 House History. Consequently, Heidi is truly very knowledgable in this area!

Honestly, we were amazed by her extensive history knowledge of the house and the Wolfeboro New Hampshire region. She admittedly loves sharing her history knowledge with all of her visitors! As previously stated, if you have a love for history, you will be intrigued by Heidi’s stories about many years past.

Off the living room space, you will find a beautifully decorated and spacious dining room area. This area has four large dining tables for seating and enjoying your meals. The room has a relaxing and comfortable feel, where you can enjoy your breakfast, lunch and/or dinner, while sitting by the fireplace. Certainly, a great place to discuss your New Hampshire memories as a couple or family. Above all, you will truly love the dining room area!!

A Wonderful Breakfast

During our stay, we also enjoyed an amazingly tasty breakfast in the dining room area. The 1810 House offers a wonderful breakfast menu to guests upon arrival. Here, you can conveniently order your morning breakfast and schedule the time of your breakfast seating. Ultimately, a simple no pressure approach and a wonderful touch!

For breakfast, we opted for the French toast with New Hampshire maple syrup and two slices of north country smoke house bacon. Your breakfast is also served with maple corn muffins, coffee, tea and juices. Even more, our breakfast experience was a delicious one and we are sure you will love your breakfast experience as well!

During the Spring, Summer, and Fall months there is also additional seating on the outdoor porch area. Here, you can sit and relax by the babbling brook, while taking in the picturesque view from this New Hampshire house setting. You will enjoy the wonderful tranquil setting that the 1810 House Bed & Breakfast offers!!

A Lovely Snack Room

You will find a second room off the living room space was a small snack room. This room offered free snacks, coffee/tea and non-alcoholic beverages for guests. Here, you can also conveniently find Winnipesaukee Winery wine for purchase, during your stay.

Maybe you would like a complimentary 1810 House Bed and Breakfast postcard to send home to your friends or family during your relaxing stay. You will find them here as well. There is also a Powder Room in the snack room for your convenience.

An Amazing Bedroom Space

When we entered our bedroom, we were absolutely amazed by the beauty of our room. Our room was beautifully arranged with sitting spaces by the warm wood stove. There is also a large dresser, coat racks and a television over the fireplace mantle. An absolutely warm and beautiful large space to settle into after a busy day of activities. You will be thrilled with your bedroom experience.

Off the bedroom space is a beautiful spacious bathroom area and an amazing two person corner tub jacuzzi. The bathroom offered an electric heater, single sink area with more storage space available under the sink. You will also find a large shower, commode and the jacuzzi tub. Here, you will have a wonderful time relaxing in the hot jacuzzi, after your full day of exploring the Wolfeboro and Lake Winnipesaukee area.

Wolfeboro, New Hampshire

While we were in the area, we spent some time exploring the Town of Wolfeboro. Here, this New Hampshire town is known as “The Oldest Summer Resort in America.” The town also has a long history of being one of the most popular colonies in New England.

The Town of Wolfeboro has been a beautiful warm-weather destination since before the Declaration of Independence was signed, so now we know why. The town has a sense of unique charm and endless relaxation. In addition to the area golf courses, camps and downtown shops, Wolfeboro truly offers something for everyone. You will love this charming town!

I think you would agree that the 1810 House Bed & Breakfast is an amazing destination to spend a holiday, vacation and or weekend getaway. Above all, you will also be absolutely amazed by the food, comforts of home and relaxed atmosphere that the 1810 House provides! In conclusion, the only thing missing was the inability to spend more time at this amazing bed and breakfast. You will want to book a lengthy stay!
