Free Cruise For Two | Timeshare Review

Free Cruise For Two | Timeshare Review

Today was the day to go listen to our Free Cruise For Two Plus More timeshare presentation for a free seven night cruise for two, two free airline tickets, and a three day/two night hotel stay. Yes, we were excited!!!

Free Cruise For Two Plus More

Unfortunately, we arrived 10 minutes late and since we were late they decided to have us wait 45 minutes for the next presentation.  Also, the manager of this resort group, which we will not throw him under the bus, was a very unprofessional manager.

We are not people who feel that the customer is always right but we feel that you can say what you mean, mean what you say and not say it mean! The timeshare group knew we were upset and moved us along briskly with the whole presentation, so they would not waste anymore of our time.

The Timeshare Presentation

The presentation was held at a hotel in Southbridge, MA.  When we arrived there were no signs directing us where to go.  There was also no greeters in the lobby, to let you know the timeshare event was meeting on the third floor.  We were directed to the third floor by the hotel staff.

On the third floor, the timeshare group had three small rooms where they were conducting group meetings.  Upon entering, we were greeted by a receptionist at a desk, we observed that there were adjoining rooms on the right and on the left.

The room on the right was filled with tables and sales people talking to potential  buyers.  A room on the left was set up for a video presentation.  As stated above, we waited for 45 minutes to go into the room with a salesperson and listen to his presentation.

After his presentation, we sat through some of the video presentation and I think they knew that we were not interested in purchasing the timeshare.  They cut the video short and shuffled us back with the salesman to wrap the presentation up.

Pay Close Attention To Details

The timeshare sales staff were selling timeshares for a Vermont property.  First off, we didn’t even see the property that they were wanting us to buy into.  They did have a few pictures but that is a whole lot different than actually walking through the property that you are purchasing.

We had no plans to buy when we showed up at this timeshare presentation.  Like most people, we showed up for the free gifts.  We made a pack, while driving in the car to the presentation, that there would be no purchasing today.  This makes it much easier to say NO when you have plans and future goals in place.

We already have the next two years of big vacations planned.  A timeshare really doesn’t fit in our lives right know, we personally don’t feel that a timeshare is the most inexpensive way to travel.  We are very savvy when we plan our travel and do a lot of research before we book.  While trying to be as flexible as possible to get the best price.

No Timeshare For Us

We did not buy a timeshare today but we did leave with a voucher brochure for the above free gifts.  However as you read on, you will see that it is not free.  So if it sounds too good to be to be true it probably is! We will use these not so free gifts though!

After some research the airfare and two night/three day will make a nice trip to Universal Studios with my daughter, who is an avid Harry Potter fan,  which will be a fun trip for the girls.

Maybe a new tradition of mother and daughter weekends, time that we can plan as she exits the nest in the next few years and spreads her wings.  It would be nice to have one or two weekends a year that are for the girls!!

The cruise for two on the other hand will be for a nice much needed vacation with my better half.  We’ve been taking family vacations for the last several years.  We haven’t had a vacation alone in quite a while so this will be great.

Timeshare Tricks

As stated above, the vacation is not completely free like they want you to believe.  We will have to pay port charges and taxes, which will be less than the normal cruise fare.  However, a big plus is the husband and wife time will be a real treat!

So how do we get our cruise you ask? Our first step is to mail in the voucher with $8.  The processing center will mail us back the booking procedures information.  We will take this next step and then continue our blog once we determine what is our next step.

Stay Tuned!

I tried multiple times to contact both Caribbean Cruise Lines and Celebration Cruise lines but received no comments. I was unable to determine the relationship between the two companies. According to this link, Celebration Cruise Line, LLC is not rated by the Better Business Bureau.

Any reply yet from the cruise voucher company or the FL trip? What is this going to end up costing you? Also, how long was the presentation and how many sales reps did you have to face? Thanks so much for your feedback. We are still on the fence about whether to drive out to Southbridge for this presentation if there are too many hoops to jump through.

Hi Laurie, I hope I caught you in time. It is not worth your time. Especially if you do not want to buy a timeshare. We knew that we here not going to buy one. We were just going for the free gifts. I did submit the money for the free gifts and it is a scam. The breakdown of costs is in the “part 2 Free Cruise for two plus more, timeshare experience!! The real deal!!
Check it out. I am going to Universal with my daughter but paying out of pocket. She didn’t meet the age requirement.
As for the presentation our salesman was not high pressure. He new right up front that we were not purchasing. The presentation and time was about 90mins.
      I hope this helps, Nancy
