Tower Hill Botanic Garden

Tower Hill Botanic Garden

A recent holiday season, we and another couple decided to visit the beautiful Tower Hill Botanic Garden.  The Tower Hill Botanic Garden is located in Boylston, Massachusetts.

Most importantly, we strongly recommend reservations are made ahead of time!  Here, there were several times in past years where the admission tickets were sold out.  Certainly, you don’t want to miss out!

Things To Do At The Tower Hill Botanic Garden

We expected only to see the garden transformed into a Christmas Winter Wonderland.  However, the both of us were pleasantly surprised.  Neither of us realized there is so much to see at Botanic Garden!

Upon arriving at Tower Hill Botanic Garden, a couple of female workers greeted us.  During our conversation, they handed us a Tower Hill Botanic Garden Map.  This map gave us an informative Garden overview.  Additionally, we received other useful Tower Hill Botanic Garden information.

The Tower Hill is a Botanic Garden.  Here, the view is different from a normal park visit.  There are walking paths on the lawn, where you can enjoy plants, flowers, trees, and wildlife.

You may also enjoy a picnic on the lawns or at a table.  Both  barbecuing and alcohol are not permitted.  Smoking is not prohibited in the garden.  However, you can also find more information at:  http://towerhillbg.org

The Gorgeous Botanic Garden

The Botanic Garden was started in 1986.  Here, you will find botanic gardens that blend with the surrounding woodlands, orchards, and meadows.  The garden wonderfully connects plants and people with the natural world.

These flowers, trees, and shrubs have been chosen to perform well in the New England’s climate.  The plant collections are designed both to be inspirational and educational.

Additionally, while visiting the 132 acre site, you will find benches and nooks.  Here, you have an opportunity to sit, sketch, or meditate.  This garden offers a 3 mile trail through open fields and woodlands.

The Tower Hill Botanic Garden is open year round 10am to 5pm.  The last admission is 30 minutes before the 5pm closing time.  The Garden is open Tuesday-Sunday and select Monday Holidays.

Closed Holiday include:  Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Martin Luther King Day as well as both New Year’s Eve and Day.  Above all, the hours are also subject to change.  You can visit http://www.towerhillbg.org for more information.

A Beautiful Destination

After being greeted, we were easily directed into a spacious parking area.  The parking area is close to the garden entrance.  We then walked through the brightly decorated Pavilion, which took us to both the Stoddard Education and Visitors Center building.  Here, we encountered beautiful Christmas displays inside and outside of the Center.  You will certainly enjoy the sights!

While walking around the Visitors Center, we quickly noticed several different beautiful theme displays.  Here, you’ll enjoy beautifully decorated Christmas Trees and more!

Additionally, we enjoyed a leisure walk down the hallways and through different rooms in the center.  Here, we observed several decorated Christmas trees, plants, and other unique decorations.  You’ll be amazed!

Enjoy Delicious Snacks At A Comfortable Sitting Area

The Center offers reasonably priced snack foods, cider donuts, s’more items to prepare at the outside fire pit, and much more.  Here, you can also purchase coffee and other beverages.

In addition, we also checked out the spacious cafeteria.  Here, the spacious cafeteria had round tables with chairs.  A great place to sit comfortably and enjoy your meal!! You’ll also  enjoy the cozy fireplace, while eating your dinner.  You will love this beautifully decorated cafeteria!!

After enjoying the beautifully decorated displays in the Visitor Center, we walked outside.  It was now time to enjoy more beautiful Christmas light displays.  We weren’t disappointed!!

Magical Christmas Lights

Outside of the center, there are several walking paths as well.  Here, the walking paths take you for a leisure walk around the property. A great time to enjoy the beautiful Christmas light displays.  The outside light displays were outstanding! Sure to bring out your holiday spirit!

In conclusion, the wonderful Tower Hill Botanic Garden is amazing!!  Simply, the Christmas displays both inside and outside are absolutely beautiful!  In addition, we certainly recommend a garden visit during the holiday season and/or anytime of the year!  Above all, you are going to love it!

Certainly, the Tower Hill Botanic Garden is a must see!

Happy Holidays to all!!
